It was a rumor that Apple will launch three iPhones in mid-2017. Two models with cumulative upgrades to the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. According to rumor, the new phone will be called as the iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus. One new model was also in the rumor that it will be iPhone 8 with the OLED display. But a new report 9to5Mac says that the 10th-anniversary edition will be called the iPhone Edition.
Apple has already sent out invites to the launch which is set for September 12. So if the new phone launch, it will be in production right now. The name is similar to the iPhone Special Edition (SE) which Apple announced for iPhone6 fans who love its size and design.
The iPhone Edition will have a 5.8-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio similar to the Galaxy S8 or the LG G6. The phone will also come with improved dual camera setup. One of these cameras will use regular lens while the other one will have a telephoto lens which gives features like zoom photography and portrait mode. The phone will be a bezel-less phone so no physical Touch ID button. The new report also says that Apple also launches the new Apple Watch on the same day.
